Our favorite mallet ever! Over the years, we have used every mallet known to man, and this is THE ONE. It truly is the "World's Best Mallet." The hardwood handle is easy to grip. But the real secret here is the thick molded urethane head. This material transmits all of the energy of every blow without ever damaging the handle of your favorite chisel. Unbelievable!

The 30oz. suits the needs of a more demanding timber framer, while the 20oz. version is perfect for the gentler timber framer or cabinet maker.

The 30oz. version has a lead plug inserted in the head. If you look closely at the photo, you may see the wood plug that conceals the lead weight. With heavy use, we have noticed that this wooden plug occasionally works it's way loose, in turn freeing the lead weight beneath. This presents it's owner with a unique opportunity to make this tool better than new. Simply reinsert the lead weight and wooden plug with a touch of low expansion urethane glue (e.g. Gorilla Glue). You may want to punch some slots in the lead to ensure a mechanical bond with the glue.
