I bought one of these saws to do flush cuts of 1 inch oak pegs on timber frames. It does cut flush, but it is very soft steel, and being so thin there is almost no kerf for the blade to slide through. The result is that the saw wants to bind, and bend. Once bent, you will have a tough time getting it perfectly straight again. When learning to use this saw, take your time. Once you get used to it, take your time. I am not in a job where this is possible, pegging is done last, and the pace is frantic because everyone wants to go home. As a result I give this tool a thumbs down. Too small, too thin, and hard to use, at least for me. I think this saw is for the cabinet makers not timber framers.
Regards,
Rob
