Blueberry Beeton, daughter of co-founders Pat and Patsy Hennin formally joined the Shelter Institute Staff in 2002 after working as a magazine editor for HANDY, a national home improvement magazine for two years. She earned her BA at Dickinson College in American Studies with a minor in photography. Growing up in the field of construction and in the Shelter Institute environment sparked a passion for learning, DIY and construction. In addition to overseeing the retail store, Blueberry also assist perspective Shelter Design Build cients begin the process of building a timber frame or Structural Insulated building and she teaches architecture, design, concrete countertop construction, plumbing and foundations. Blueberry is also a REALTOR and holds a Maine Real Estate Brokers license, specializing as a buyers agent and listing unique Midcoast Maine properties.
