Gabe took the Purely Post & Beam Class in June of 2006 and joined the Shelter Design Build crew shortly after completing the class. He graduated from North Atlantic Regional Schools and then pursued a degree in music theory, performance, and appreciation at University of Maine in Augusta. While in high school he and his family built two homes. He learned a tremendous amount about house building and design in that process. Gabe gives special attention to detail and perfection that is refreshing. You will find him in the Shelter Design Build workshop methodically laying out scarf joints, dovetails, mortise and tenons, and more or out on the job site assembling those same timbers that he has just cut. He is also one of our in-house photographers—taking care to record each of our Design Build projects. His precision and brute strength are reflected in the timber frames that we build for clients up and down the east coast.
